Sail along the shore of the unforgiving ice frontier
Tread through the frozen flood until horizons disappear
A beckoning yearning for a knowledge of what we were before
This crudened flesh and bone structure: the bearer of our souls

Enticed, yet contrite to let ourselves sink into light
(Fantasies of familiar faces fade)
Betrothed, yet betrayed by our bodies infant Earthly ties
(Terra Mater set our spirits to the skies)

Sinking; falling through the glacial drift
Suffocating
While traces of warm slumber once so structured slip away
Entombed inside a fractal cocoon
Then cast into the fray

The waters bleed onto the deck
The broken mast will drag us deep
The anchors speed our descent
And flukes will cut skin deep

The consequential repercussions of inconsistent drive
To be or not to be; to surrender or survive

Simulations of mortality’s binds, kept us right at home
Break through the barrier
To the astral skies we float

So familiar this place
So familiar this fear
Paralyzed, hand in hand as the recursive patterns light
Concurrent final breaths pull us to where the past and present cross
Incarnation comes full circle as all sense of self is lost

Rebuilding the flesh towers as life comes and goes
(Constructs of a greater state of mind)
We drift with the Northern Lights; The Neon Holy Ghost
(Cerebral light brings the passing of Time)

Through fathoms they sink
Immersed in the finite trench
The dilating void oscillates between
Life, Death, the Earth and the Stars

And as dusk breaks to dawn
The cosmos awaken the course to the soul of the Sun
Refracting light bends the spectrum astray
But in Aurora’s bright embrace we stay
